Yes. While our standard zinc plating works best on mild and HRP&O steel, we can plate stainless steel or aluminum on request with a custom quote. Nickel plating is available for steel and copper, simply upload your CAD file and select “custom materials” to get instant pricing.
You shouldn’t mask fastener holes or threads. SendCutSend performs plating first, then installs hardware. This ensures threads remain clean, and prevents finish buildup that could interfere with assembly or torque specifications.
Yes. Zinc coatings typically add about 0.0003″ per side, nickel adds 0.0002″. Our team factors this into hole sizes and tolerances during quoting, but if your design is sensitive, just note it during upload. Our quotes include final thickness specs.
