Production Time

“I had to do some post processing to get countersunk holes that I needed… parts were clean and accurate. Saved me a lot of time.”
Our countersinking service is compatible with four aluminums and three plastics. Materials must be at least 0.125″ thick.
Countersinking adds 1-2 days to production. For the fastest lead time, order countersunk parts separately

Draw only the minor hole in your CAD file
Do not include the major diameter; the countersink is machined to the correct size automatically.
Holes under 4″ are automatically resized
You are responsible for ensuring adequate edge clearance and spacing between features after resize.
Countersink direction matters
Countersinks can be applied from the top or bottom face. Use the 3D preview in the app to verify orientation before ordering.
| Major diameter | Should match fastener head diameter (~50% larger than minor hole). Do not include in your file |
| Minor diameter | Defined by your CAD file, must match intended fastener size |
| Max countersink depth | Should not exceed 60% of material thickness |
| Countersink angle: 82° | Standard for imperial/SAE hardware |
| Countersink angle: 90° | Standard for metric hardware |
| Contact requirement | Aim for ≥ 50% contact between hardware and countersink |

Avoid placing countersinks too close to edges, other holes, or bend lines.
Deep countersinks require additional spacing between features and thicker material to maintain strength.
Multiple countersinks placed close together risk material deformation or part failure under load.
Surface condition: Parts may have oil or lubricant residue from the countersinking process. Light cleaning may be required.
Edge condition: Some sharp edges or burrs may remain after machining. Minor deburring may be needed.
Finish quality: Countersinks are functional features, not cosmetic. Tooling marks or light scoring may be visible.
Powder coating impact: Adds .002″–.005″ per side. Hole sizes are adjusted, but fit may still be tight on countersunk features.

Posted on Google Frank HowellJuly 27, 2026. Sent in a model for custom joist style brackets to support 2" square tubing. Got a message back with different options for a bend they couldn't do on the part (u-channel shape). After some talking about the options the bend team said they could finish it by hand. The parts showed up and were perfect. Very well packaged! I have parts show up from our main production vendors at work that never show that level of care with the packaging.Posted on Google Thomas Earley (Tommy Earley)July 27, 2026. Send Cut Send is an excellent company! My order came quickly and was packaged very well. I look forward to ordering from them again to feed my need to be a maker!Posted on Google Paul CarterJuly 26, 2026. First timer but won't be tye last. Great work!Posted on Google Alexandre MilletteJuly 26, 2026. Clean part good product fast shipping good pricePosted on Google Rory OsborneJuly 26, 2026. This was my first time using SCS. I worked on a simple design in Fusion 360 for at least 30 min before I decided to try the AI design tool on the SCS website. In less than a minute, I had a perfect drawing in SCS for my simple bracket. From start to finish, the whole process took less than 5 minutes. The total cost was less than it would have cost me to go get the materials. Since this is a simple bracket that I can use for multiple things in the future, I increased the quantity from what I needed right now, to the minimum that got me free shipping. This was less expensive than paying the shipping alone, and now I have “extras”. The package arrived in about a week, ready to use. Perfect parts. If you have the time to wait (I suggest planning your workflow to have the time), I don’t see how you can beat SCS. Now to get to work on a design to try out their CNC services!Posted on Google Gebones PlatinumJuly 25, 2026. Fast and precise!Posted on Google Yunshan Tan (William)July 24, 2026. SendCutSend is a perfect fit for my inventions and startup. My questions are answered thoughtfully. The quality of production service is solid.Posted on Google Bret LobreeJuly 24, 2026. Once again, SendCutSend delivers. My far the most efficient, cost effective solution for flat my designs. Not only did the parts arrive early there were a few extras thrown in.Posted on Google Mike SabocheckJuly 23, 2026. SendCutSend has a great appreciation for customers. I had a few questions about their process and the cost of it for my parts. They concurred and provided the appropriate remedy.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 3354 reviews
