Benefits of deburring sheet metal parts with SendCutSend

Please note that our finishing services will not result in a perfectly cosmetic finish, but the parts will be free of burr, smooth, and ready to use.

If your project requires a perfectly brushed pattern, aggressive edge softening, or a highly polished surface, we recommend performing finishing operations after you receive the parts from us. We do not offer a cosmetic graining or brushing service.

Will nickel plating hold up to polishing or sanding?

Our nickel plating is quite thin (adding approximately ~0.0002″ per side), so you will need to be careful to avoid wearing through the finish. A small amount of light polishing may be doable but any more aggressive treatment like sanding could penetrate through to the underlying material.

Why can’t I select deburring for my part?

If deburring is not an option before checkout, it’s typically because the material and/or stock thickness is not eligible or the overall flat part size is too small or too large. Please see our deburring page to confirm requirements for the service.

Will my parts have burr and dross?
