How post-process operations impact lead times

Additional post-process operations such as bending, tapping and powder coating will increase turnaround time.

Additional factors that may impact lead time:

Orders of 100+ parts may add +2–4 days.
Parts over 46″ in any dimension may require +1–2+ days.
Orders over 80 lbs may add +1–2 days for packaging and crating.
Orders requiring >40 sq ft of material may add +2–5 days. (Depends on current stock levels.)
Orders requiring file revisions, proofs, or guideline fixes will be delayed.
Production starts only after cut-ready files are approved.

Order processing & scheduling

Cutoff time: 12:00 PM PT, Monday–Friday
Orders placed after cutoff will begin processing the next business day
Complex parts (tight geometry, multiple bends) may require additional processing time
If your order shows “TBD” in the tracker:
- Your files are being reviewed and prepared, or
- We’re waiting on a response from you
A shipping date will appear once your order is scheduled for production

How our process works

Although we cut and process parts 7 days a week, we review orders Monday - Friday to coincide with our shipping carriers.

Your estimated delivery date is calculated in real-time in your shopping cart as you add parts and services
Your estimated delivery date is confirmed when you check out
Your order is received and verified
Our Application Engineers review your drawings
Your drawings are programmed and scheduled
Your parts are cut!
We inspect your order for quality and accuracy
Your parts are post processed, if required
Second quality check
Your parts are packaged for shipment
Final quality check
The shipping label is created and you receive an email with a tracking number
Your order is shipped via our carrier on one of 3 daily pickups

How do I get my parts as fast as possible?

Order before 12pm PST, Monday-Friday
Provide part files that meet our guidelines
DXFs from SolidWorks, AutoCAD or Fusion will be processed slightly faster than EPS and Adobe Illustrator files
If you are using AI, please only send us AI files. Illustrator DXF exports do not produce reliable cutting paths and will result in additional time
Add one of our expedite services before checkout if your parts are eligible

What qualifies for Expedite Service?

Rush production is based on the following factors*:

Size

Order weight must be 65lbs or less

Material availability

Specific materials and thicknesses qualify

Order complexity

Adding multiple post-processing services may disqualify your order

Does Expedite Services guarantee delivery by a certain date?

No. Rush Production guarantees faster SendCutSend manufacturing time and in-hand package times to the carrier. Once an order leaves our facility we cannot control carrier transit times or delays.

What if my part is damaged upon arrival?

If you receive your part and are not satisfied in any way, reach out to our support team and we’ll make it right.

What if my parts are not produced by the expedited timeframe?

If we do not produce your parts within the expedited timeframe we will offer a full refund on the order.
