Waterjets use a high-pressure stream of water to cut through difficult materials such as thick metals and composites. At SendCutSend we pick the best cutting process for your project.
SendCutSend uses the best cutting method for your parts, including high power fiber lasers for metals (from 4kW to 12kW+), CO2 lasers for plastics, CNC routers for wood, and CNC waterjets for composites such as carbon fiber.
We’re able to make incredibly accurate cuts with tolerances of +/- .005″ or better on aluminum, steel, copper, stainless steel, brass, acrylic, carbon fiber, wood and more (over 165 materials in stock).
Waterjet is capable of highly intricate cuts with tolerances of +-.009” (.25mm) or better in composite materials.
Expect tolerances of +-.009” (.25mm) or better in composite materials.
The combination of water speed, pressure, nozzle size and abrasive flow rate allow waterjet cutting to produce a superior edge quality compared to laser cutting.
When your parts are waterjet cut there’s virtually no HAZ (heat-affected zone).
The combination of water speed, pressure, nozzle size and abrasive flow rate allow waterjet cutting to produce a superior edge quality compared to laser cutting.
The crushed garnet in the waterjet stream acts like a belt sander, slowly abrading away the material, leaving a very smooth edge. Dross and burr commonly found in other cutting methods is effectively eliminated.

Michael MaldonadoMarch 19, 2024.I’ve now placed two orders through SendCutSend and I’m very happy with them. I’m producing a vinyl record display that has small letters that light up. I wasn’t getting the result I wanted out of printed resin, so I turned to SCS to cut them out of .118” mirrored acrylic. The letters are a little over an inch high and half an inch wide. First order was to test how they’d fit and to see if light traveled through acrylic better than it does in resin. After testing and having better results, I ordered multiple full sets of the letters I needed. After I received my second order, I inspected it and found that an ‘A’ was damaged and unusable. I didn’t notify SCS because I still had a spare from the test print, but I’m sure they would’ve replaced it. In between orders, also messaged them to inquire about another acrylic finish I was looking to try and they responded quickly. The representative was very friendly, courteous and informative. Overall, I am very happy with the service and they’ve won my business.william garrityMarch 16, 2024.I had trouble finding a local source for my parts because of their small size. SendCutSend delivered amazing quality and fast production time, I highly recommend them!Jerud CrandallMarch 14, 2024.Kinda magical! I use SCS for my DIY / hobbyist builds involving waterjetted parts in Aluminum and plastic. Their ordering tool is snappy, detailed, and even a little fun to use. And the options available — oh, the options! I got my parts a little ahead of the promised date and they were packed well without being excessively overpackaged. Finish was as expected and perfectly accurate dims. Plus a couple Rad stickers! I have a guy in town that ‘jets big parts for me and he’s great. But for smaller items SCS beats him easily on price, delivery time, and finish options - plus it saves me a trip to pick them up. I can put in an order in the evening in a couple minutes rather than burning time in the middle of the workday phoning the local shop, who is probably glad I’m not bogging him down with dinky low-margin jobs anymore. I’m looking forward to trying machined parts in the future.Joe FedulloMarch 13, 2024.Awesome quality, Awesome pricing, fast turn around. I don't know what they could do better.Yamir HernandezMarch 12, 2024.Fantastic as always. Had a aluminum plate laser cut and formed. Absolutely spot on and shipping was predictable and on time.Matt BilbruckMarch 11, 2024.Had them procure a couple brackets.
