Can SendCutSend drill holes into the side of my parts?

Need holes drilled into the side of your parts? We may be able to accommodate your design depending on the cutting method we use for the material you need.

Hole orientation for laser cut, waterjet cut, and CNC routed sheet and plate

Sheet and plate materials cut with one of our 2D cut methods (laser cutting, waterjet cutting, and CNC routing) are eligible for tapping, countersinking, and hardware insertion.

Our hole operation services can be added to the top or bottom face of sheet and plate stock. You can choose which side you want the service performed on before checkout.

In our instant pricing system’s Add Services step, hover over the up and down arrows to see a tooltip explaining what up versus down orientation means for the selected service.

We’re unable to offer drilling into the side of a sheet or plate part if you are referring to the cut edge.

Available tapping orientation. Part is being tapped on the top or bottom face of the sheet material, not the cut edge side.
Available countersinking orientation with best practice for depth. Part is being countersunk on the top or bottom face of the sheet material, not the cut edge side.
Recommended load direction for a nut installed into a bent part. The hardware is being installed into the top or bottom face of the sheet material – not the cut edge side.
