Anodizing adds a very thin layer, about 0.0002″ to 0.001″ so for most applications, it won’t noticeably affect your part’s dimensions. If you’re working with tight tolerances, it’s a good idea to account for that added layer.
Every anodized part needs at least one hole that’s 0.063″ or larger for processing. If your part has tiny features or no holes, it may need design adjustments to qualify for anodizing with SendCutSend. You can learn more about our requirements for anodizing in our anodizing guidelines.
Anodizing adds about 7 to 10 business days to your order’s production time. For faster turnaround, we recommend placing anodized parts in a separate order from non-anodized items.
