In 2022, SendCutSend was dedicated to bringing customers new features and improvements that made it easy, fast, and affordable to order laser cut parts in small and large quantities, no matter where you live.
Our focus was on improving our laser power and increasing the services we offer to become a one-stop shop for the laser cutting needs of makers, businesses, manufacturers, and individuals. We were busy all year long and even we forgot about some of the newest things to come to SendCutSend this year. So we thought we’d wrap it all up in this 2022 recap, just in case there were some announcements you missed!

New Services
Perhaps the biggest part of 2022 was the plethora of new services we added for our customers. From waterjet cutting to hardware insertion, here is a breakdown of what you can do with SendCutSend.
Waterjet Cutting
Until now, waterjet cutting parts has been a slow and expensive process for businesses and individuals. If parts needed to be sourced quickly, the price would reflect the time restraints. SendCutSend’s automated waterjet process allows us to provide everyone from small businesses to large aerospace companies with fast, efficient and affordable waterjet services.
If you’re looking for high quality cuts in difficult materials such as Carbon Fiber, G10 and Linen Phenolic (Micarta), try our waterjet cutting services.
Powder Coating
Protect and elevate your projects with powder coating. Custom powder coating gives parts a long-lasting and durable finish. In fact, it’s so durable that we did six durability tests that included running over parts with a car and hitting them with a hammer, which we documented in our powder coating durability blog.
Hardware
We’re proud to now offer PEM fasteners for studs, nuts, and standoffs to help you solve your design problems. Our hardware installation service starts at just $9 per order on the following materials:
- 5052 Aluminum: 0.040”-0.500” (1mm-12.7mm)
- 6061 Aluminum: 0.040”-0.500” (1mm-12.7mm)
- 7075 Aluminum: 0.125”-0.250” (3.17mm-6.35mm)
- G90 Steel: .048″ – .074″ (.122mm-1.88mm)
- Mild Steel: .048”-.500” (1.22mm-12.7mm)
Countersinking
Countersinking protects your hardware from long-term wear by allowing the head to sit flush against the surface of your part. Countersinking services start at just $3 per hole and with accuracy within +/- 0.015″ and is available on the following materials:
- 5052 Aluminum: 0.125″-0.500″
- 6061 Aluminum: 0.125″-.500″
- 7075 Aluminum: 0.125-0.500″
- HDPE: 0.125″-0.500″
- UHMW: 0.125″-.500″
- Delrin: 0.125″-0.500″
- ABS: 0.125″-0.500″
Anodizing
We kicked off our anodizing services offering six colors; Black, Clear, Blue, Gold, and Red which can be applied to 5052 H32 Aluminum, 6061 T6 Aluminum or 7075 T6 Aluminum.
Anodizing your laser-cut parts can add durability and character. The anodizing process increases corrosion resistance without adding a thick layer of material to your part.
Zinc Plating
Plating helps prevent rust and wear resistance while increasing strength through the process of depositing a metal coating onto a substrate.
We offer our plating services in Black Zinc, Clear Zinc, or Yellow Zinc in either Mild Steel or Chromoly.
New Materials
We’re always on the lookout for new materials we can add to our offerings so you can cut whatever project you’ve dreamt up. This year we’ve added the following materials to our 165+ material options:
G10 (FR-4 grade): Strong enough to meet your needs with a host of specialized electrical properties, low water absorption, and fire retardancy, G-10 FR-4 grade is the go-to material for your electronic parts, robotics endeavors, and marine applications.
Chipboard: Laser cut chipboard is a simple, versatile material that lends itself to all kinds of applications, from artwork to home improvement. Chipboard is easy to work with, making it an accessible material for makers, engineers, and designers of any skill level.
Hardboard: Prototyping with our laser cut hardboard will help ensure your product’s success before you ever place a full production run. Durable, workable, and affordable, laser cut hardboard will change the way you prototype and save you money simultaneously.
316 Stainless Steel: We’ve always had 316 stainless steel but this year we added some new thickness options. Stainless steel offers greater resistance to the elements for your projects.

Power, Power, Power!
This year we were all about the laser and bending power! We added 21 kilowats of laser power to our cutting arsenal bringing our total cutting capacity to almost 60kW.
We also added 160 TONS of bending power, so you can use our bending services for all your project needs.
Preview Your Parts in 3D
You can now preview your parts in 3D before placing your order. You’ll find the option to toggle between 3D and 2D views when previewing your order. You can click and drag with your mouse to rotate your part and use the scroll wheel to zoom in and out. You can also take a screenshot of your part and toggle the display to flatten bends.
Improved Savings on Bulk Orders
We’ve always offered discounts on bulk orders, but this year we improved our saving options for customers when you order more than one part. Depending on the material and the services you’re using, you can save up to 70% when you order more than one identical part.
