At SendCutSend we can make boxes as long as your design meets our guidelines. Customers often create boxes with our CNC sheet metal and plastic bending service. If you use our air bending service for your project, keep a few things in mind:
- The maximum flange length for 4-sided box bends is 3.50″ if no hardware will be installed.
- The maximum flange length is 3.00″ if PEM hardware will be installed.
- Box parts will need to meet our u-channel requirements for bending.
- The base must be 2x the width of the flange length.
- Parts cannot fold in on themselves.
- When parts do this it becomes impossible to access and form all flanges.

If the 3-3.50″ flange length or u-channel limits won’t work for your project, consider designing multiple parts for your box and joining them with hardware. We have tapping, countersinking, and PEM hardware installation services available to help bring your parts together!
