Which tap sizes can I use for my project?

You can confirm available tap sizes for all our materials in a few ways. Here’s how!

1. Thread / Tap Size Chart

Our design guidelines include a thread/hole chart showing all of our available sizes and the hole diameter required for each. Click here to get right to it!

2. Processing Minimum / Maximum Part Size Chart

The processing min/max page lists every material thickness and shows if it is eligible for tapping services. For qualifying material thicknesses, the smallest and largest metric and imperial taps available are listed.

3. Material Page Design Specifications

Visit our Material Library to access our dedicated material pages. Click a material, then scroll down to find the Material Details which include Design Considerations. The smallest and largest available tap sizes for each material thickness will be listed there as well!

Confirm available tap sizes on our tapping guidelines page, processing min/max page, or individual material pages.

Please note, these are the sizes available for parts you’d like to add SendCutSend tapping services to. If you plan to tap your parts at home you may be able to use a wider range.

For tapping tips, check out our guides on the subject here!
