What is your maximum bend length?
The maximum bend length for your part depends on the material thickness. You can find the maximum bend length specifications on each material info page in our catalog.

At SendCutSend, our minimum and maximum overall flat part sizes for bending are dependent on the desired material thickness of your part. You can find these specifications on each individual material info page and on our processing minimums/maximums page.
It’s important that the file you upload for bending is in a format that we can accept. Currently we accept STEP and STP format 3D files. If uploading a 2D file, it will need to be a flat vector file (DXF, DWG, EPS, or AI format). We have tutorials you can follow to learn how to turn a bent part into a flat pattern in various CAD software.
3D preview issues with bent parts can be due to a lack of bend reliefs, bend lines that don’t extend the full width of the part, and incorrect file setup. Read the complete FAQ to learn more!
We sure do! Bend relief is one of those small details in a bent part that’s easily overlooked. In parts where it’s required, leaving it out can at best cause unwanted tearing, or at worst make your part nearly impossible to physically make (at least the way it’s drawn).
Yes! We offer CNC bending using top-of-the-line equipment and robotics, alongside expertly trained staff. We have several requirements you must meet in order to use our bending services, so before uploading your design, please reference our bending guidelines. SendCutSend offers a number of high quality materials in various thicknesses for bending, including Reference our
The tooling used in press brakes will often leave a surface mark on the bent sheet metal. These marks are called die marks, die lines, or witness marks, and while difficult to prevent, there are a few things you can do to hide or eliminate the unwanted markings.
Upload a file format we accept, use the correct bend line type for 2D files, follow our bending guidelines, check your design with our bending calculator, and use our app to configure each flange’s angle and direction.
You can powder coat bent/formed and tapped parts. Please be aware that die witness marks from the press brake will be visible through the coating. Also, you will have to chase any tapped holes to clear the threads once you receive the parts.
