What if I don’t have a CAD file?

In order to produce your part, we’ll need a CAD file in one of the formats we accept (2D vector files: DWG, DXF, Adobe Illustrator; 3D files: STP or STEP).

If you don’t have a CAD file there are multiple options for getting one so you can have your part manufactured by SendCutSend!

Option 1: SendCutSend Parts Builder

Our Parts Builder features fully customizable laser cutting templates that allow you to select, customize, and order a variety of parts from simple brackets to house numbers in a matter of minutes.

There is no charge to use the Parts Builder and it’s a great place to start if you have a simple design need or minimal CAD experience.

Option 2: Design Services

If you have a napkin sketch or template of your part and need to turn it into a CAD file, our Design Services team can help. We’ll create your file and send you a cart for purchase.

Our Design Services have two options starting at $49.

  • Convert sketch to CAD
  • Convert physical template to CAD

You’ll want to make sure to follow our Design Services Guidelines before reaching out to our team.

Option 3: Design Partners

If your design is not something that our Design Services team is able to assist with, we will recommend you to one of our design partners. Design partners are vetted designers that we know and trust to help you get your design into a manufacturable file.

See our full list of design partners and contact them directly with your project’s needs.
