The cut tolerance for each material depends on the cutting process for that material and specific thickness.
How to find cut tolerance specifications
You can find this information for each stock thickness on the material pages in our Material Catalog.

Navigate to the material you need and then click Specifications to jump to the material details and specifications.

How we define cut tolerance specifications
At SendCutSend, our cut tolerances represent the total possible variation from the dimensions of your part as designed. We recommend checking the cut tolerance specification for the material thickness you plan to use before finalizing your design.

We aren’t equipped for precision press-fit tolerances, so we advise making holes slightly undersized to bore out when you receive parts. We have more considerations here: how to design a slip fit for mating parts?
Please note: if you need specific tolerances for specific dimensions in your design, we won’t be able to accommodate them. For example, we’re not able to provide a tighter cut tolerance for one cut edge versus another.
A cut above tolerable
We maintain tight tolerances so you can expect consistent parts every time. Keep all tolerances in mind including material and bending/forming tolerances while designing your parts, then upload your files to our website for an instant quote. Explore tolerance articles in our blog for in-depth guidance if needed!
