Need to know how to export a file format we accept from TinkerCAD?
TinkerCAD is a challenging platform for us to process since it does not export true DXF files. For this reason, we strongly suggest that you use one of our recommended software instead.
However, there are a couple of options available for exporting from TinkerCAD.
1. Send To Fusion 360
- Send To Fusion 360 (download free version here)
- After installing Fusion 360, click the Send To button at the top right of your screen in TinkerCAD to send your design to Autodesk Fusion 360.
- Then export your design as a DXF from Fusion
2. Open SVG in Inkscape, Save As EPS
- Open the TinkerCAD SVG in Inkscape (free – download here)
- Then save your design as an EPS file
Once your file is exported from either Fusion as a DXF or from Inkscape as an EPS at 1:1 scaling, you should be able to upload it directly to our website for instant pricing and confirm the overall dimensions are correct. Use our file setup checklist to ensure your 2D file is cut-ready!
In Summary
TinkerCAD is a challenging platform for us to process, since it does not export true DXF files that we use for defining cutting paths. We strongly suggest that you use one of our recommended software instead.
