Do you offer tumbling?

We soften the edges of laser cut parts and remove burrs on small parts through a ceramic tumbling process. Please note, this is not a finishing process and does not guarantee a uniform finish on the individual parts.

Will my parts have burr and dross?

SendCutSend’s laser cutting methods prevent major burr and dross buildup, but both imperfections are still unavoidable parts of the manufacturing process. Read through our material pages to see examples of dross and burr in different thicknesses.

Do you offer linear graining?

SendCutSend does not offer line graining or brushing, but our linear deburring service will help remove imperfections left over from the laser cutting process. Your sheet metal parts will be cleaned up and ready for you to assemble and finish.

Can I powder coat my bent or tapped part?

You can powder coat bent/formed and tapped parts. Please be aware that die witness marks from the press brake will be visible through the coating. Also, you will have to chase any tapped holes to clear the threads once you receive the parts.

What are your etching limitations?

We have multiple etching limitations to keep in mind since we do not offer laser engraving or solid etching. Our etching services are currently limited to single line etching. Please note: single line etching is faint and shouldn’t be used for cosmetic applications.

Will there be scratches on my parts?

There will inevitably be scratches left on the surface of your part after the machining process especially on the bottom side that contacts the laser bed. If you want to minimize the effect the scratches will have on the final look of your part, select deburring or tumbling before checkout if your parts are eligible.
