Laser-cut Stainless Steel from SendCutSend

Stainless Steel (316)

Starting from $29

For when you need greater resistance to the elements than 304 can provide, 316 stainless is here to meet your needs.

Corrosion Resistant

Laser-cut 316 stainless steel

High amounts of nickel and chromium, with a lower carbon count than other stainless varieties, make 316 highly corrosion resistant. Meaning, this stuff doesn’t rust, if you couldn’t tell. Able to remain corrosion resistant across many different environments makes this steel such an important material in modern industries.

Our 316 stainless steel is very similar to 304 in application, but this material differs in one major area: corrosion resistance. By alloying molybdenum into its composition, 316 circumvents 304’s common pitfalls. Specifically, 316 is adept at resisting corrosion caused by chloride exposure. This means that it’s great for holding tanks that could come into contact with various liquid solutions, such as sea water, or chlorine.

Fusion welding performance for stainless steel (316) is excellent both with and without fillers so it’s a strong choice across projects that require this type of work. Sometimes, heavily welded sections do require additional treatments, such as annealing, but most of the time the material is simple to join.

Ultimately, you can count on SendCutSend’s 316 stainless steel to meet your project’s needs and provide solid parts made to your specifications. This metallic powerhouse material can help you get things done, with our help of course!
